Marco Inglese is Associate Professor of European Union Law at the Department of Law, Politics and International Studies, University of Parma, since October 2024. Previously, he was both tenure-track senior Assistant Professor (2021-2024) and non-tenure track Assistant Professor (2020-2021) as well as research fellow (2019) in the same University. He holds a PhD in European Law, specializing in European Union Law (University of Bologna and University of Strasbourg, joint supervision, 2014). He holds a second-level Master's degree in International and European Union Law (University of Bologna, 2010) and a Master's degree in Law (University of Bologna, 2009). He was a Bluebook Trainee at the Secretariat-General of the European Commission (2014) and a research assistant in the European Law Department of the TMC Asser Instituut (2010). Among his numerous teaching and research experiences abroad, he spent time at Freie Universität Berlin, the University of Freiburg, University College Dublin, the China-Europe School of Law, the University of Sarajevo, and the University of Strasbourg. His main research interests cover the collaborative economy and the digital single market, citizens' initiatives and participatory democracy, the Ombudsman and the right to good administration, the right to health and cross-border patient mobility, and food sustainability regulation.
